Howard alumni and the public are welcome to do research and attend events at the libraries. To enter any Howard library, you will need a valid and current government-issued ID. You may also be asked to sign in when entering.
Please note, that as a private institution situated, Howard has the legal right to bar anyone from any or all parts of its premises. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior of any kind may result in suspension of visitor access.
Tour Groups
As an important architectural structure and the iconic University symbol, many people like to tour Founders Library and the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center (MSRC) Reading Room.
Although we understand the desire to visit our wonderful building, we request that you please be mindful that Founders and the MSRC Reading Room are used for research and study. So, we request that the noise level be kept to a minimum.
